Civil Engineering Technicians Course Outline

Module 1A: Introduction to Civil Engineering Projects and what is expected of Civil Tech

Module 1B: Terminology

** Test given. Passing test will open up next module

Module 2A: Basic Surveying Concepts

Module 2B: Overview of Construction Set of Drawings

** Test given. Passing test will open up next module

Module 3A: Understanding drawings by other disciplines (Arch, MEP, Struc, etc)

Module 3B: The process of organizing a basic Site Plan

** Test given. Passing test will open up next module

Module 4A: Learning utilities like Water, Sanitary, Storm, Detention, SWQ

Module 4B: Plan Drawings in Subdivision Projects

** Test given. Passing test will open up next module

Module 5A: Plan and Profile Drawings and how distorted scales work

Module 5B: Learning the information needed for each type of drawing

** Test given. Passing test will open up next module

Module 6A: Base Math and Geometry needed to understand drawings

Module 6B: Notes, Details and other Non-Site Plan drawings.

The Course is approximately 6 weeks long for a total of 48 hours of training. These 48 hours are flexible allowing the employee to proceed on their own schedule. Also, this training does not include Autocad, so besides basic software like Word, PDF and an internet connection, no other software is required.

The course is conducted in different forms of instruction. The employee will have videos to watch, along with study guides. At the end of each module, the employee will be tested by me in person, online.

The price for this course is $699, payable in full prior to employee receiving information to begin the course
